PARTICIPANT WAIVER AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY
I, the undersigned, hereby acknowledge that I am voluntarily participating in DEATHCON, an extreme fitness competition involving high-intensity workouts, weightlifting, cardiovascular challenges, and other physically demanding activities (hereinafter referred to as the “Event”). I fully understand that my participation in this Event involves inherent risks, including but not limited to serious injury, permanent disability, or death.
ASSUMPTION OF RISK
I understand and acknowledge the risks associated with CrossFit-style competitions, including but not limited to:
Physical exertion leading to exhaustion, dehydration, or muscle strain
Injuries such as sprains, fractures, or concussions
Equipment malfunction or improper use
Interaction with other participants leading to accidental injuries
Adverse weather conditions or unforeseen hazards
I voluntarily assume full responsibility for any risks of loss, damage, or injury (including death) that may be sustained while participating in the Event.
WAIVER OF LIABILITY AND RELEASE
I, on behalf of myself, my heirs, assigns, and personal representatives, hereby release, waive, and discharge DEATHCON organizers, sponsors, affiliates, venue owners, volunteers, medical personnel, and any associated entities (hereinafter referred to as “Released Parties”) from any and all claims, liabilities, demands, or causes of action arising out of my participation in the Event, including but not limited to negligence, equipment failure, or emergency medical response.
MEDICAL CONSENT
I certify that I am in good health and physically capable of participating in DEATHCON. I authorize event medical personnel to provide necessary first aid or emergency medical care if required. I understand that I am responsible for all medical expenses incurred due to my participation in the Event.
PHOTO AND MEDIA RELEASE
I grant permission to the Event organizers and affiliates to use photographs, videos, or recordings of me for promotional purposes without compensation.
ACKNOWLEDGMENT AND AGREEMENT
I HAVE READ THIS WAIVER AND FULLY UNDERSTAND ITS TERMS. I ACKNOWLEDGE THAT I AM WAIVING SUBSTANTIAL RIGHTS AND SIGN IT FREELY AND VOLUNTARILY.
